April 1-29: The Hammonton Arts Center will offer a five-week acrylic painting class with artist Bobby Berg. BOATING

April 8, 9: Coast Boating School will conduct a boating safety course from 7 to 10 p.m. at Atlantic Cape Community College, 5100 Black Horse Pike, Mays Landing. Anyone who operates a boat or personal watercraft in New Jersey must pass a sanctioned safety course. To register, call (609) 343-4829.

CAR SHOW / RALLY

April 18: A British Motor Car Gathering, sponsored by the British Motor Club of Southern New Jersey, will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Historic Smithville, Route 9 and Moss Mill Road, Smithville.

DINNER

EASTER EVENTS

April 4: The Woman's Civic Club of Hammonton will hold its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. at Hammonton Lake Park. The free event is open to kids up to 8 years old. Registration is not required.

April 4: All Buena Vista Township children up to 12 years old are invited to participate in the 15th annual Easter Egg Hunt and Coloring Contest at noon at Michael Debbi Park. There also will be a Peeps contest this year. The rain date is April 5.

April 4: The Knights of Columbus Padre Pio Council will host an Easter Egg Hunt beginning at noon at St. Martin de Porres Church on Egg Harbor Road in Hammonton.

April 11, 12: Easter weekend events in Ocean City begin at 11 a.m. Saturday with a Woofin' Paws Pet Fashion Show at Carey Stadium, 6th Street off Boardwalk. Entry fee is $5 for one pet or $10 for multiple entries. Register at 10 a.m. An Easter egg hunt will start at 2:30 p.m. Saturday on the beach from 11th to 13th streets. An Easter sunrise service will start at 6:30 a.m. Sunday at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. The annual fashion competition begins at 1 p.m. Sunday in front of the Music Pier. EXHIBITS

April 3-24: Focal Point, the photography group of the Hammonton Arts Center, will host a juried photography exhibit at the center's gallery at 219 Bellevue Ave. Categories are traditional photography and manipulated photography. An opening reception and awards presentation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. April 3.

Through May 15: The Noyes Museum will present "On Lily Lake: Decoys from the Permanent Collection." Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The museum is at 733 Lily Lake Road in Oceanville. Call (609) 652-8848.

FUNDRAISERS

April 1: Soroptimist International of Hammonton will present Basket Bingo with Longaberger Pottery and Home Accessories from 7 to 9 p.m. at Hammonton High School on Old Forks Road. Admission is $20 and includes 10 games, coffee and dessert.

April 3: The Atlantic Riding Center for the Handicapped will hold its semi-annual Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament at 7 p.m. in the Elks Lodge on Somers Point-Mays Landing Road in Egg Harbor Township. To register, go to www.arch206.org.

This event, open to the community, is sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association Delaware Valley chapter.

MATURE ADULT

PARADES

April 18: Ocean City's 24th annual Doo Dah Parade begins at noon from 6th Street and Asbury Avenue. It will proceed to 12th Street and Asbury Avenue, then to the Boardwalk. It will end at the Music Pier. This year's grand marshal is Bill Dana, creator of Jose Jimenez.

SPECIAL EVENTS

April 18: The Woman's Civic Club of Hammonton will sponsor its "You & Me Tea" from noon to 2 p.m. April 18. The tea will be held at the group's clubhouse on Broadway and Liberty Street. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets may be purchased by calling Maryanne at (609) 561-9365. There will be sandwiches, sweet treats, a Chinese auction table and a craft activity for children. No tickets will be sold at the door.
