LECTURE, CLASSES:
The University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts will host a free public lecture by artist and Chicago resident John Himmelfarb as part of the Closer Look series at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the North Campus Auditorium off Spring Street. Himmelfarb s works, combining representational and abstract worlds within a complex narrative framework, are included in many private collections and more than 20 museum collections. AUDITIONS, PERFORMERS, DANCERS:
The Arena Dinner Theatre, 719 Rockhill Ave., will have auditions for Neil Simon s The Odd Couple at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday in the rehearsal studio. Roles are available for the four male poker players, ages 55 and older, and the two Pigeon sisters from England, ages 45 to 55. The roles of Oscar Madison and Felix Unger have already been cast. CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Artlink, 437 E. Berry St., invites artists ages 18 and older to submit proposals of original art created or manipulated by way of any form of digital technology for its Digital Visions: Computer Art Exhibition. CDs, DVDs or slides of all work must be received by Jan. 31 together with a $20 entry fee per proposal, an artist resume and typed explanation of the digital piece. HONORS AND AWARDS: Eleven models and talent from Charmaine School Model Agency received 40 honors and awards in several categories at the Millie Lewis Actors, Models Talent Winter Convention in Orlando, Fla.
