Motorcycles on Main Street huge success
The event was sponsored by Plattsmouth Main Street Association. Jennifer Roby chaired the event.
Rain throughout the day threatened the event, but precipitation cleared by 4 p.m. and cyclists started riding into downtown Plattsmouth to show off their Harleys and custom-fitted cycles as well as swap tales with other enthusiasts.
According to Main Street Association executive director Charles Jones, the event was tremendously successful and plans are already underway for next year's celebration.
Jones said most cyclists also came with a significant other or friend so a minimum of 400 people were drawn to Plattsmouth Friday night.
Terry Little served as master of ceremonies for the evening.
A Poker Walk was also conducted during the evening with participants picking up cards from downtown merchants.
Jones said the event couldn't have been done without the leadership of Roby.
