Memorial Golf Tournament

The world s best golfers return to the area again for this year s PGA Memorial Golf Tournament held every year in Dublin. The course, located at Muirfield Village Golf Club, was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened on Memorial Day in 1974. Tournament play begins on Thursday and continues through Sunday. Kevin Pollak

Comedian Kevin Pollak will perform at the Funny Bone Comedy Club this weekend from Friday night through Sunday night. Pollak has established himself as both a comedic and dramatic actor, having appeared in over thirty films in the past decade, and was the former host of Celebrity Poker Showdown. New works at Columbus Museum of Art

The Columbus Museum of Art will debut its latest exhibit, Out of Africa: Treasures From the Josef Floch Memorial Collection this Friday. Recently donated to the CMA, this collection includes important works from the Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso and the Republic of Benin. The exhibit runs through October 5. Student tickets are $5 and admission to the museum is free for all on Sundays.

Summer Lunchtime Performing Arts Series

Every Friday from now until Labor Day there will be a free lunchtime performance on the West Plaza of the Ohio Statehouse from 12 p.m. 1 p.m. The series kicks off this Friday with a performance by the Ft. Hayes Jazz Ensemble. A list of each performance from now through Labor Day is available at ohiochannel.org.

Columbus Symphony Finale

The Columbus Symphony will present the last show of their season this Friday and Saturday at the Ohio Theatre. As part of their Pops Series, the symphony will welcome Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning composer/pianist Marvin Hamlisch to perform with them. Tickets are $18-60 and show time is at 8 p.m. on both nights.

Riverfest

Celebrate the importance of Ohio's waterways this Saturday at Riverfest. The annual event, located at Genoa Park, runs from 12 p.m. 5 p.m. and will feature plenty of boating, rock-climbing, recycled art, educational exhibits, and live music. Admission is free.

Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler, from The Chelsea Handler Show on E!, will visit for a one-night only performance at the Capitol Theatre this Saturday at 8 p.m. In addition to her late-night show on E!, Chelsea was the star of Oxygen s Girls Behaving Badly for its first four seasons. Tickets are $32.50.
