Vegas Night set to benefit Red Cross COSHOCTON - An open Vegas Night event will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Moose Lodge on Main Street. The event will feature lots of different Vegas-style gambling events, including Blackjack, Texas Hold'em, the Wheel, and many others. All gambling will take place with play money. You do not need to be a member of the Moose to attend.
Tickets are $10 in advance, or $15 at the door. A ticket will get you $5,000 of play money to begin your gambling adventure.
Door prizes, lottery-tree raffles, and a grand prize will be awarded. A 50/50 drawing also will be held. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Coshocton County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Advance tickets can be purchased from any Red Cross Board Member or at the Red Cross office at 245 N. Fourth St.
The Red Cross is a United Way Community Partner Agency.
Lincoln Day Dinner plans underway COSHOCTON - The Coshocton County Republican Party will hold its annual Lincoln Day Dinner on Thursday, April 3, at the Lake Park Pavilion.
Speaking at the fundraiser will be current Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court Evelyn Stratton. Food will be provided by Schumaker Farms and special music by Cheryl Peiter.

LCC alumni sponsor development program COSHOCTON - Leadership Coshocton County Alumni will host reigning Miss Ohio Roberta Camp for two events on April 4. Both events will focus on character development, a platform being forwarded by Camp during her reign as Miss Ohio.
The first event will be an assembly for ninth- and 10th-grade students from Coshocton County. The morning assembly will be held at Coshocton High School auditorium and is sponsored by Coshocton Elks Lodge 376.
As an encore presentation, the Leadership Coshocton County Alumni will feature Camp at a Lunch and Learn session at the Coshocton Town and Country Club. The event, open to the public, will begin with social networking at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon. Camp's program, The Character of a Leader, will follow lunch, to conclude at approximately 1 p.m.

Miss Ohio Roberta Camp, from Grove City, is a student at The Ohio State University; seeking a bachelor of arts degree in communication with minors in music and Spanish. She believes that high-character is the cornerstone of American citizenship and leadership. It is the foundation of a great community. An advocate for her platform, Camp is a role model who inspires and motivates people.
Leadership Coshocton County, a program of the Coshocton Foundation, is celebrating its 17th year of service to the Coshocton County community.
BPW scholarship applications accepted COSHOCTON -The Coshocton Business and Professional Women will award two $750 scholarships in May. Forms for the Joan McNeely Working Woman Scholarship are available at Roma's Gifts and Florist, Pyle Financial Inc., and the Coshocton Public Library. The scholarship is for women returning to education after being out of high school.
Eligible women must have a copy of their acceptance into a program, two references, and a one-page essay of their career plans and how the scholarship will benefit. Previous winners may apply.

Outstanding alumni nominations sought NEWARK - Central Ohio Technical College is seeking nominations for the 2008 Outstanding Alumni Award, which will be presented at the college's June 2008 commencement ceremony. The deadline for nominations is Friday, April 18.
The award recognizes COTC alumni who have demonstrated personal or professional achievement that brings honor and distinction to the college and whose contributions and individual attainment have bettered the community.
Anyone can nominate a graduate, and employers are encouraged to submit nominations on behalf of their employees. All COTC graduates are eligible for nomination.
The Outstanding Alumni Award, which was presented annually from 1982 until 2002, is being reinstated this year as the college seeks to recognize alumni who are excelling in their careers, giving back to the community, and helping to advance the college. The nomination form is available through the Alumni link on the COTC web site at www.cotc.edu
COTC created an Alumni Program last year to serve as the principal link between the college and its network of alumni. All COTC alumni are invited to participate.

Top student music talent showcased in scholarship recital MOUNT VERNON - Mount Vernon Nazarene University will present some of the 2007-08 music scholarship recipients in recital at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27. The free event will take place in Thorne Performance Hall in the R.R. Hodges Chapel/Fine Arts Center, and a reception will follow.
The concert will feature several instrumental and vocal performances in a variety of musical styles. Among the participants is Zachary McMorrow of Coshocton. He is a sophomore nursing major studying piano improvisation with Dr. Geri Rosser and participates in Jazz Band.

At least until now, I would say that Monte Carlo poker room is still the most famous cities and Las Vegas is the most mysterious one. There is very close to the car park entrance, of course, next to the sports bet; nine tables in a room specially designed with beautiful dark wood panels do, with a unique and humorous poker paintings and flat LCD TV. Unique position to room very quiet, even though the smoke will linger in the entrance, but this is very alarming to allow smoking. You have to pass through the clouds to reach the bar or lounge, but items from the facilities are very close, you can not single-handedly or will be able to take up single-handedly.
